April 5, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce New York East Soccer Club as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based on Long Island, NY, New York East FC will begin UPSL play in the Northeast Conference American Division.

Daniel Alvarez is the Owner and Head Coach of New York East SC. The club will compete exclusively in the UPSL. 

UPSL Northeast Conference Manager Paul Konneh said, "It's great to have another club on Long Island and we're excited to welcome New York East Soccer Club to the UPSL American Division. The UPSL's Northeast Conference is ready to take a big step forward in 2021. The addition of New York East SC gives the UPSL two teams on Long Island, and a natural rival for New York Contour United. We look forward to watching that develop, and we wish New York East Soccer Club success getting started in the UPSL."

Alvarez has coached both domestically and internationally, and was most recently the Men's Soccer Assistant Coach at Canton, MO's Culver-Stockton College (NCAA). Having gained experience at various academies and teams throughout England, Spain, Dominican Republic, Peru and Italy, Alvarez currently holds a UEFA 'B' Coaching License and is finishing course work to earn a UEFA 'A' license.

"The Club choose the UPSL because it believes in the league's commitment to help develop players as well and play at a very elite level of soccer," Alvarez said. "We believe this is the best time to join as the league compares to some professional divisions around the world. Because of this we feel this is perfect for the development of local players who wish to advance to the professional level."

The club will announce its fixture calendar.

New York East SC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
